Web-4-All
: an innovative project
Web-4-All, an Industry Canada program under the Connecting Canadians
initiative is currently under way for the entire territory served by the
Collectivit� ing�nieuse de la P�ninsule acadienne (CIPA) inc.
Web-4-All combines hardware and software to quickly configure a computer
according to a user�s preferences, with the simple use of a smart card.
People with visual, auditive or motor disabilities and those with literacy
problems will therefore have access to information and resources, through
computers adapted to their particular needs.
Over 35 systems, distributed evenly throughout the territory will be
available at public access sites, particularly via the area�s Community
Access Centers network, allowing everyone access to services and information
on the Internet.
The CIPA has launched the hiring of young interns, who will assist in the
implementation of the project.
